Wood N Nickel is a five piece "mostly" acoustic band. We have been performing in and around southwest Michigan since the fall of 2002. In that time we've developed our own style of bluegrass.

The band has taken its rock and roll roots and put that attitude to work on traditional instruments.

A typical Wood N Nickel set will feature everything from "Bill Monroe" to the "Beatles." Tight three part harmonies have always been at the heart of the Wood N Nickel sound.

Fred Fernau, lead vocalist and banjo.
